Business Intelligence Specialist

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Conduct key analysis and provide insight through use of the key data sources including customer performance data, customer and product finance data and customer sales conversion data.
  • Translate results into clearly defined action plans to be shared broadly with the different business teams within the NewsXtend business.
  • Work on multiple competing initiatives from inception to completion under rigorous deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Run deep dive insights pieces as required
  • Convert analytical findings into actionable insights for a variety of audiences.
  • Create statistical models and technical solutions such as predictive models, segmentation, triggers and events that support and align with each digital channel (SEM, Programmatic, Social etc)
  • Deploy statistical models and advise on recommendations to support the business objective

Skills and Abilities

  • Experience using Google Analytics and Google Apps for Business.
  • Proficient in the use of Google Adwords, Facebook Page Insights platforms
  • Ability to create data visualisation dashboards in Tableau or equivalent.
  • Experience in statistical modelling.
  • Experience in analysing data around buying strategies for programmatic and search.
  • Experience (or aptitude) to build a bid and buy model for the NewsXtend programmatic team, in the form of an algorithm built on performance data
  • Experience in using Salesforce a plus.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to collect, analyse and synthesise data in meaningful and insightful ways for the business.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate web, app and customer data into actionable insights.
  • Strong mathematical and statistical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, marketing, mathematics, finance or related field
  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in Social media related data analysis, including the use of Social Listing and Data Analytics Tools such as Tap Analytics, The Trade Desk, Acquisio, Avanser and Socialbakers.
