LANDesk Administrator

The LANDesk Administrator is responsible for day-to-day administration, maintenance, and development of the company's LANDesk 2016 deployment. We maintain a multi-tenant LANDesk deployment for the management of multiple clients. The administrator will be involved in the maintenance of the infrastructure, development of application and OS packages, assist in integration between other IT platforms, development of security policies, and identify areas of investment to maximize efficiencies. The administrator will work with the business owners to identify and develop business requirements

Job Responsibility (Day to Day)

  • Perform day to day administration of the LANDesk platform
  • Perform installation and testing of LANDesk updates and new releases
  • Support the design of LANDesk integrations to 3rd party platforms
  • Work with business leaders and process owners for implementation of new packages and processes
  • Perform LANDesk implementation tasks including: new client deployment, Software Distribution, Inventory, Security, MDM, Antivirus, System Images
  • Work with separate patching team that operates out of LANDesk to assist with any support needs
  • Work with separate reporting and business intelligence team to develop reports
  • Maintain the management of the LANDesk tool across production and non-production environments.
  • Develop clear and concise technical & process documentation.
  • Communicate LANDesk process, operations and capability information to all levels of management effectively.
  • Development of custom queries and scripts

  • Experience with Windows scripting
  • Experience with a multi-tenant LANDesk architecture preferred
  • Experience with Windows administration
  • Ability to communicate across different business units
  • Documentation Skills
  • Should be well versed in communication (English, Written and Oral) and be able to co-ordinate efficiently with onsite sub-ordinates and direct in-line managers
