Lead Service Desk Supervisor

  • Ability to be part of a team and follow instructions accurately and effectively.
  • Adherence to change and incident management processes.
  • Service Request Ticket Support Meeting Team SLAs.
  • Provide hands-on support and engineering.
  • Good verbal and written communications as the engineer will need to interface with Sr. Management to report on incident and project status.
  • Be an escalation point for the Desktop management and logistics teams.
  • Work on projcet requrest and ensuring the Service Desk & Desktop teams are kept informed of all projects.
  • Establishing automated corrective action for server problems where possible.
  • Server hardware and rack/ stack experience.
  • Assist with client server connectivity issues.
  • On-call after hours support for server systems to be performed on a rotation basis.
  • Perform account audits, log reviews, system file audits, patch audits, service audits and ports/ protocol analysis for servers that must remain operational.
  • Review results of such reviews and audits ith the project lead(s).
  • Remove unnecessary and unwanted files, applications, services and accounts.
  • Documents all such activity in a network device change log.

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cross functional interaction, network, inventory, procurement, service desk and network operations.
  • Solid experienc in production environment supporting web load balancing and database services, backup, replication, maintenance and security audit.
  • MCITP on Windows Server 2008 or related certification highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of Advanced Server Support, Microsoft cluster serveice, active directory services, WDS and WSUS.
  • 5 years minimum experience in an enterprise server environment with both administartion and problem resoluton of Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2008 required.
  • Experience supporting a lartge Desktop environment 5000 - 10,000 desktops.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and experience adhering to them in a production environment.
  • Windows Server 2008/2012 Active Direcrotry Replication, DNS, GPO expertise required
