Clean Energy Associates – Job Description
Founded in 2008, Clean Energy Associates (CEA, www.cea3.com ) is a North American-owned solar PV quality assurance, supply chain management and engineering services firm based in China with 60+ professionals serving the needs of project developers, IPPs, EPCs, financial institutions and other downstream partners that value supply chain transparency and quality solutions in the solar energy field. Led by a management team with a combined 50+ years of solar PV business experience and supported by 30+ engineers who have audited factories and installation sites in over 20 countries, CEA’s project experience and technical capabilities help solve a broad array of clients’ downstream needs for higher system performance.
Based in Asia, CEA’s global engineering services team is dedicated to ensuring comprehensive quality assurance (QA) solutions by providing 24/7 factory monitoring oversight and system level engineering support services that are objective and truly supplier independent. The CEA team has accumulated deep QA experience through the completion of more than 4.5 GW of onsite production monitoring assignments and over 125 factory audits in Asia, EMEA, and North America over the past 8 years, encompassing a broad range of products from crystalline and thin film modules as well as inverters, racking and other BOS components. In many of these cases, CEA has also supported its clients in the definition of a supply chain strategy, supplier identification, commercial negotiation, and ongoing execution of procurement contracts and vendor relationships. CEA’s commercial and manufacturing expertise enables successful procurement engagements which often involve C-level executives at headquarters as well as interaction with regional decision makers within various suppliers.
CEA works with a diversified group of clients worldwide, ranging from large Fortune 500 companies and publicly traded conglomerates, to smaller developers, IPPs, yieldcos and EPCs who have successfully improved the value of their systems and reduced risk in an increasingly competitive environment. Such increases in system performance provide a direct benefit to long term asset owners while still reducing risk for other stakeholders such as lending institutions, insurance companies or others participating in such transactions. With a multicultural team based in 7 countries and a strong track record since 2008, CEA is committed to support clients’ needs locally and ensure timely project execution of quality assurance, supply chain management, and engineering needs globally with both integrity and professionalism.
Mr. Andrew Klump founded CEA in 2008 and leads the team from its Shanghai office.
